Welcome back to Marketing for Romance Writers Book Hook. Last week, my dirty fairy tale retelling of Red Riding Hood, book one in my Fated Fairytales series released. I’ve been working hard one the second book in the series, a reverse harem take on the Goldilocks tale. The story features a blonde who can’t seem to stay out of trouble and three sexy bear-shifters who can’t get enough of her. One of those shifters has taken a firm hand with her shortly before this passage.

Taming Goldie Teaser

Giselle’s backside smarted as bad as if she’d sat on a beehive. As Jax walked her back to work, she fought the urge to rub her stinging bottom with every step. When they arrived, the Captain escorted her to the door of the reception office before telling her he had to hurry off. She grasped his shirt sleeve, not ready for him to go. “Are you mad at me?”

He smiled. “No way.” Leaning closer, he brushed his lips against her forehead. “I’ll see you soon.”

She nodded. “Okay.” After he walked away, she turned the doorknob and entered the main reception office.

Her unit supervisor stood by the counter, and as she met Goldie’s gaze, Karen lifted a sheet of paper. “Colonel Black asked me to bring this so I guess you’re next. Her lips turned down, showing her clenched teeth as she cringed. “Good luck.” After handing her the pink slip of paper, Karen exited the room. Goldie glanced at her demerit sign-off sheet, listing every infraction she’d racked up from failed job assignments to chores she hadn’t done well enough to pass muster.

Tsk, tsk! Seems like Goldie’s going to be in for it again! I’m hoping to have the story ready for publication by the end of April or the beginning of May so be on the look out.
