It seems Stefan O’ Duff wants’ reconciliation and help to cure the curse they share. Emerald would rather see him dead than be with him again, she has someone else to consider though. Her new love, Maxwell Howard a werewolf, who through sharing blood with Emerald, now faces the same fate as Emerald and Stefan. For the cure to work, Emerald has to put her hatred of Stefan aside and consent to share his bed again.
Can Emerald put 300 years of anger aside to save them or will she sacrifice all their futures and kill him as she swore to do?

Teaser
“But I did love you. I…”
I held up a hand and stopped him from finishing. “It doesn’t matter, and I really don’t care.” Turning to Sophia, “I know why we’re still alive, but not you. So, tell me Sophia, why aren’t you dead by now?”
“I am immortal, I cannot die, but mine is not a curse but something I was born with. I knew of what my mother had done and just wanted to help.”
“Well since the only way we can be free is to destroy each other, then I guess we can do just that in the morning.”
Startling all of us, Max spoke up then. “I have a problem with that, we’re getting married tomorrow, remember? You’re not getting away from me that easily, we’ll just do what we originally planned and find a cure ourselves. Them being here doesn’t change our plan at all. Besides, I want us to have those kids we talked about, and your dying won’t accomplish a thing. So, I don’t want to hear any more about you two fighting to the death.”
“Your friend is right, we need to work together and find a cure for the two of you, this has gone on for long enough.”
“There are three who need the cure now. I shared blood with Max.” I watched their faces go from shocked, to confused.
Max tried explaining. “We are a mated pair, and as such, we shared blood to join us together in life and death, as wolves are meant to. If either of us dies then the other will also, it was a choice we made together, I knew it was the only way to truly be with her.”
“I did say there was a way for all of us to be free.” Stefan grounded out.
Sophia placed a hand on Stefan’s arm before asking. “Did I just hear correctly; did you say he was a werewolf?”
Max and I nodded together, but I was the one to explain. “Yes, and the blood we shared is the same to them as a marriage. The ruby seems to keep me from changing into one though, we are still bonded, and nothing can or will change that.”
“Enough of this, do you want the cure or not, is being free worth risking your happiness, is it really worth it? Because without a cure you can never really be together, and there definitely won’t be any children, but the chosen one.” Stefan bellowed out, Sophia gripped his arm harder, but he just shrugged her off.
“No Sophia, she wants the cure, so here it is! You my dear sweet Emerald must have a child with me, a live one, and only on the child’s 25th birthday will the curse be broken. So, if you truly do want to be free, that is the price. Is your freedom worth the risk; is your love for each other strong enough? Or are you too scared to try! I was willing, but now I have the chance, I don’t know if I want to even try!”
Stefan stormed out of the room. I looked at Max and Sophia, Max looked shocked, which I expected because I was too. The look on Sophia’s face surprised me though, she looked sad, almost defeated. “He is telling the truth, he was the one who passed it to you, and you two have to break it together. Before you say no, please read this. You might not believe either of us now, but he did and still does love you. I know you have nothing but hatred for him, but before you decide anything, please read this first.” She handed me a book and walked out of the room, leaving Max and I alone.

Life Full Circle
by Dee Carver
Meeting Emerald was unexpected, I did not know she was even around until I went to write out the description of her wedding gown. The night before she came forward, I had a dream about a dress and since I could not draw it, I decided to describe it with words. Once I had the dress done that is when Emerald came forward to describe herself. It may sound odd for an author to talk about a character as though they are a person that could be standing beside them; however, many authors have the same concept about their characters.
After Emerald came into view, the scene that was taking place began flowing on paper and I found that there were other people involved. I was also beginning to understand why she was wearing the wedding gown and not happy. This is the first glimpse we get of Stefan, one of the men in Emerald’s life. Stefan was a very hard character to deal with, Emerald was supposed to love him in the end, but a lot had happened, some of which was his fault and some he had no control over. Then came Max, which we meet him much earlier in the book than Stefan. Max was supposed to be more of a secondary character but became a major part of Emerald’s life and story.
I can remember when Max first came about and how I really liked the idea of her competitor in business being a werewolf and a strong personality. However, as they spent more time together, I began to realize that Max was going to take over Stefan’s place in her life. I can remember arguing with Emerald about the fact that she was meant to be with Stefan, and I needed her to change directions. You might think it is funny but, in the end, Emerald won. She let me know that it was her story and I needed to write what she told me too.
Once I stopped fighting the flow, the rest of the story would not stop coming forward. I began writing in a notebook, then changed to a typewriter and finally a computer. I made the ultimate mistake of taking a few thousand words out due to advice from someone else. Later, I found myself having to fill those gaps back in. La Roe’s Curse was originally published in 2005, it was nominated for a Golden Rose Award, and the beginning of changing my life.
I went from being an author to the owner of Personalized Marketing Inc. During my writing journey I learned about editing, marketing, reviews, websites, promotions and so much more. I have been a Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance, Review and Marketing Coordinator for another company, CEO of an ePublishing Company, owner of a Review Site, and then Founder and Owner of #PMInc. I now have a Bachelor in IT and a Master in Business, with a certifications for Advanced Software and Graduate Marketing. After several years, I have finally returned to creative writing. Romance Books that I have put aside have been reopened and a new story is bugging me to be written. They say that we come full circle in life and it seems that I may have finally made my way back to where I began, wiser, more confident and definitely a better writer.
