Now that Saving Suki has been released, and I’ve re-released Rock You Like a Hurricane and put out a box set for the first three Horse Mountain Shifters stories I wrote, I’m able to concentrate on one of the fractured fairytales I’ve started. The first book in the series, Scarlett and the Big Bad, is two parts Little Red Riding Hood, one part Three Little Pigs, and one part intro to the bigger story which will play on Beauty and the Beast. There will be magic, shifters, spanking, and sex, but who’s the villain and who’s the hero?

Monty’s determined to protect Scarlett from the Order’s evil plans for her and from her own deeply ingrained indoctrination even if he has to spank her bottom until it’s the same color as her beautiful crimson hair. Compounding his difficulties, he’s afflicted with a unique, third shifter-form he doesn’t fully understand and isn’t totally able to control. Will Monty be able to save Scarlett or will he prove to be more of a danger to her than anyone else?

She caught the primal look in his eyes as he crawled over her, tugging at her clothing. Tiny beads of sweat misted her forehead as he yanked her pants off. She tightened her stomach muscles as his lips grazed her naval. Moaning, she urged him onward, stroking his hair. He roughly pulled at her sweater and undergarments until he’d stripped her to the skin. Stark naked and vulnerable, she quivered, awaiting him.
His calloused hands roamed her flesh, exploring without reservation. Her nipples tightened into hard nubs, protruding out like an invitation. He accepted, grabbing one breast as he captured her lips with his. She lifted her head, pushing into the kiss, her mouth open, hungry. Their tongues darted and twirled, dancing an arousing samba. As he pinched her nipple, she moaned into his mouth, arching her back.
