Dear Readers,
I know I’ve been promising an update to my Wattpad series, and that Scarlett and the Big Bad as well as book four in the Horse Mountain series would be out soon; unfortunately, I’ve had a gut-wrenching week that has severely altered my life for the foreseeable future.
My nineteen-year-old son has been experiencing some back pain and acid reflex issues for awhile. We were treating these by conventional means, but he continued to get worse. We saw a specialist and put him on prescription medication. He didn’t get better.
Additional tests and images showed a tumor on his liver near and blocking the bile duct. As you can imagine, this was devastating news. We haven’t been able to get a biopsy yet since more scans/testing are needed first. My son has been in the hospital for a week now, and we still have no definite answers about what the tumor is or a treatment plan. A procedure is scheduled for Monday that should give us some information. I’m still hopeful and have faith God will see my son through.
In light of my son’s illness, I’m uncertain when I’ll be up to writing again. All my projects are on hold. I’d greatly appreciate prayers for my son’s recovery.
